A graduate of the National University of Health Sciences, Dr. Cox continued his education in diagnostic imaging attaining diplomate status with the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology, authored textbooks and peer-reviewed articles regarding lumbar, cervical and thoracic spine conditions and their treatment, developed Cox® Technic flexion distraction and decompression procedures, and participated in NIH and HRSA funded research studies at Loyola School of Medicine, Hines VA Hospital, Palmer College of Chiropractic and National University of Health Sciences.
A graduate of Boston University for both his BS and MSPT, Dr. Bise went on to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions and is further pursuing a PhD in Clinical and Translational Science. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh. His expertise is in the management of patients with low back pain and implementation of innovative models of care that provide the right care, from the right practitioner, at the right time.
A graduate of Emory University, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Neurosurgery residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Minnesota, Dr. Dozier specializes in neurosurgery with Parkview Physicians Group-Neurosciences.
A graduate of Brigham Young University in nursing, Cheri started her career as a registered nurse preparing patients for surgery. Life experiences led her to expand her care-giving abilities to include training as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Functional Nutrition Lifestyle Practitioner and Lifestyle Educator. A founder of the Temecula Center for Integrative Medicine, Cheri works alongside her chiropractor-husband, Dr. Lee Hazen, and other healthcare providers to benefit the lives of their patients for the better.
Soon after graduating from Cleveland College of Chiropractic (California), Dr. Hazen was invited to become a resident in Dr. James Cox's clinic. From 1989 until 1998 he was co-director and resident in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, with Dr. Cox. While there, he attended and completed a 400 hour post-graduate Chiropractic Orthopedics training sponsored by National University of Health Sciences. Today, Dr. Hazen is a Cox® Technic instructor and enjoys being a part of Temecula Integrative Medicine in Temecula, California, where he and fellow healthcare providers of various disciplines come together to help patients return to the quality of life they desire.
Dr. Joachim graduated from the National University of Health Sciences in 1996. While a student, he was a student-team member of the first chiropractic biomechanics project at NUHS funded by HRSA regarding the effects of flexion-distraction on the spine. Since then, he has completed post-graduate studies with Cox® Technic, McKenzie Institute, and the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. In addition to being a Cox® Technic instructor, he maintains private practice in Fort Wayne, IN, where he also is an official chiropractic office for the Fort Wayne Komets Pro Hockey Team and the Fort Wayne Fury Pro Basketball Team.
A graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine and resident at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, Dr. Kachmann founded and practiced neurosurgery with Fort Wayne Neurology. In his retirement years, Dr. Kachmann continues to be a community volunteer, philanthropist, and advocate of healthy lifestyle choices.
Dr. Nolan is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Anesthesiology and fellowship-trained in Interventional Pain Management in Fort Wayne, IN. Dr. Nolan specializes in interventional pain management techniques and is owner of Interventional Pain Consultants. He is a consultant for Medtronic to educate physicians on implanting pain management devices and performing spinal augmentation.
Dr. Olding is a graduate of the National College of Chiropractic, a Cox® Technic instructor, and an orthopedics diplomate with the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists. He practices in Minster, Ohio, and is currently working on developing a study on balance and the stenosis patient.
Dr. Schneider is graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic (DC) and obtained a PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh, where he is an Associate Professor in Department of Physical Therapy and Clinical/Translational Science Institute. Dr. Schneider has designed and implemented several federally funded clinical trials comparing conservative treatments for low back and neck pain. He recently completed a clinical trial comparing different non-surgical treatments for patients with lumbar spinal stenosis.
A graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine who completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the May Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN, and fellowship in spine surgery with the San Francisco Spine Institute in California, Dr. Shugart practices orthopedic surgery with Fort Wayne Orthopedics. Dr. Shugart has participated in many FDA studies regarding a variety of spine surgery protocols with Mesoblast, Zimmer Spine, DePuy Spine, Medtronic Sofamor Danek and more.
A graduate of Taylor University and Ball State University Department of Educational Psychology and Department of Counseling Psychology, Dr. Sowles practices at Vision Counseling and Psychological Services. Dr. Sowles has an extensive list of presentations and published papers on the care of the brain-body connection, emotion, depression, and mental health.
A graduate of Denison University and the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Urban practices with Parkview Physicians Group-Urology and is in academic medicine as a volunteer assistant clinical professor of urology with Indiana University School of Medicine.
